Reimbursement, Travel & Accommodation Key Terms and Conditions

Reimbursement of Costs: 

Gwekwaadziwin Miikan will reimburse my organization for applicable and approved travel, accommodation, and related costs to attend the event as outlined in the IHWS Travel Reimbursement Guideline from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. I will retain and submit all applicable receipts for reimbursement to the organization I am attending on behalf of.

I will submit my expenses with receipts to my organization by Thursday April 4th, 2025. And my organization will compile each Individual Indigenous Healing and Wellness Strategy Expense Claim Form into one claim form and submit to Gwekwaadziwin Miikan by (Thursday April 17th, 2025).

Only applicable or approved costs will be reimbursed, and reimbursement may be denied if receipts or invoices are not provided within the specified time.

Travel & Accommodation Arrangements:

I am responsible for arranging my own travel and accommodation to attend this event.

I am aware that any room or travel expenses I incur must be aligned with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services applicable policies and that failure to do so may result in personal costs being incurred.

I understand that breakfast, nutritional breaks and lunch will be provided throughout the event and that I will be responsible for arranging meals before and after the event.  Dinner will be included on March 25th, 2025 for those participating in the IHWS Gala. Dinner will be included for those participating in the Fur Harvest and Management Course.

I understand that I may be responsible for a damage deposit if required by my accommodation provider and that I have the necessary funds, a credit card and applicable identification.
